A few weeks ago, my daughter and I went to Tagaytay to spend time with my cousin's family. We decided to have late lunch at Taal Vista. It was a Tuesday and we weren't expecting so many people having lunch. But because we arrived around 1:30 in the afternoon, people were almost done with their meals.
There wasn't any space left for a party of eight in the main dining hall, so they ushered us to the far end. Personally, I liked that space better because it was much more peaceful. This was our table. Look at all the people at the back.
This is the main dining area sans the people. Yes, they all left when we were ready to get our food from the buffet spread. Parang Twilight Zone. Eerie. Haha.
At the back they have booths and cozier tables for two.
The walls reminded me of letterpressed wood. The tables are divided subtly by glass drops on tensile wires.
I didn't take pictures of the food anymore. But the food was okay naman. Considering we were right next to a great view of Taal Volcano. They served mostly Filipino food.
There was even a trio to serenade us with "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and the Bieb's "Baby". I guess it was because we had three tots with us at the table. Haha.
If ever you do visit, you get a substantial discount if you use your SM Advantage Card or BDO card. So do not forget.
Just outside the dining area, you'll find lots of grass and sitting areas for you to enjoy the view.
Here's Allie having fun in front of the camera.
...and here she is -- enjoying the view.
-- of Taal Lake / Volcano. That lake is actually a freshwater lake that fill part of the volcano's caldera, and there's a tiny volcano at the center. How cool is that?
