Who hasn't heard of Philippe Starck? He's a world-class product designer. He designed the Louis Ghost chair from Kartell. I bet you've seen at least one in your life. He even designed some watches for Fossil.
He has been collaborating with Hansgrohe, maker of toilet and bath fixtures, for about 20 years, and just this September, they launched another faucet line under Hansgrohe's designer line Axor.
Axor Starck Organic, as it is called, fuses art and efficiency. The products are very minimalist yet sculptural. The faucets boast a mixer design, where temperature and volume have two distinct controls, and, get this -- the actual spray only has a consumption of about 3.5 liters of water per minute. In comparison, other water basin sprays consumes about 7 liters per minute or more. Now, this is design at its finest.
