Valentine's Day craft part deux.
Last time, I shared with you some crafty heart origami for letters. Then I posted a couple of links where you can print some free gift wrappers straight to your printer.
Now, here's a quick and easy tutorial on creating an envelope from a heart. I used the mod poinsettia pattern from Paper Crave.
Love it! Already looking for paper to use for these great envelopes (and with a simpler paper it's a year-round project, too!). Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it!
ReplyDeleteSo cute and not very hard at all! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes, the most challenging part is cutting the right-sized and right-shaped heart. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool way to make an envelope. Thank you so much for sharing.

ReplyDeleteis it possible for you to put up a template of your heart?
ReplyDeleteI actually did not have a template. I just hand-drew it. :) But that's a good idea. I'll consider making a heart template soon. Watch out for it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous envelope :)
ReplyDeleteDid you use a heart from a Cricut cartridge? If so which one?

Marjorie: No, I just manually cut it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rafa! I'm glad you like it.
ReplyDeleteHi! I was hoping to use this for wedding invitations, do you know how big the heart needs to be? Or if I used a 12"x12" paper to cut out the heart how big the invetation could be?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Hi Julie. My suggestion is that you cut out a rectangle template with a size that you want, then draw a heart around it. :-)
DeleteI've just shared your nice work here on my blog, of course linking back to your page ;)
